Jay O'Halloran was known for his love of family, friends, hockey, and Jimmy Buffett's laid-back spirit. After his courageous battle with leukemia, those who loved him created the Jay O'Halloran Memorial Golf Tournament to celebrate his life and give back in a meaningful way. Since 2006, the tournament has united hundreds of golfers, sponsors, and volunteers while raising funds for the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, ensuring that Jay's legacy continues to make a difference.

To celebrate Jay's love of Jimmy Buffett and the island lifestyle he embraced, golfers are encouraged to wear their favorite Hawaiian shirts. This colorful tradition has become one of the tournament's signature features, adding a fun, laid-back atmosphere while honoring Jay's vibrant personality and the passions that made him so memorable.
